Substance Abuse Treatment

Substance Abuse Intensive Outpatient Program (SAIOP) 

SAIOP is a program that includes individual and group addiction activities and services that are provided to assist adult and adolescent consumers to begin recovery and learn skills for recovery maintenance.

Treatment support activities may be adapted or specifically designed for persons with physical disabilities, co-occurring disorders including mental illness or development disabilities. The program is offered at least 3 hours a day, at least 3 days a week, with no more than 2 consecutive days between offered services. It distinguishes between those individuals needing mo more than 19 hours of structured services per week (ASAM Level II.1).

Driving While Impaired Assessments (DWI)

In the state of North Carolina, anyone convicted of a DWI must have a substance abuse assessment completed. Project Momentum provides assessments as well as any education and treatment needed based on the assessment. North Carolina requires all agencies providing services for DWI in NC to collect a $100 fee for a DWI assessment, even if you have no insurance. 


Alcohol and Drug Education Training School (ADETS)

Project Momentum offers the ADETS program. This program will satisfy court, job, schools, probation, DWI, and other requirements. The program consists of 16 hours spread over a five day period. ADETS is the education level for DWI clients. Prime for Life is the evidence-based curriculum used for ADETS.
